Excellent experience. Marc is a
truthful and conscientious person. He explained our options and provided a
large number of homes for us to visit or call representing his work. His

We had (2) projects done by
Clearview. First we had fascia and soffit installed on our two story home.
Later, we had a new front door ordered and installed by Clearview.
If I have to spend money on my
home, Clearview is one of my favorite companies to deal with. I hate high
pressure sale types and Marc (Owner) is just the opposite. He is easy to deal
with and will give you nothing but the truth. Sat down both times with my wife
and myself and went over everything in details regarding the work to be done.
Responded quickly to all my e-mail and phone questions. His installation
teams, on both jobs, were on time and did a wonderful job as well maintained
a clean job site. Could not be more pleased with the front door and siding
work. Marc also followed up on both jobs by stopping by during and after the
actual installation. I also referred Clearview to a friend. This is a very
professional company in a field filled with all types of operations. You can

Marc provided siding, soffits, and
fascia for the whole house. He installed 17 thermal windows and seamless
guttering for the house. In addition he helped me solve two guttering
problems which had been sending water into my basement. He added one
downspout and tightly overlapped a joint which had been spilling water for
years because it had never been done properly.
This project went well from start
to finish. Marc returned my call immediately and came out for an estimate the
first time I was free - I was impressed that the owner of the company would
give such good service. Marc is personable and spends the time to find out
what you need and what you can afford. He offers to give you as much or as
little information as you want. I learned much that was useful in getting
other bids. He told me some things I did not need, even if he could have made
a sale, and did not pressure me to buy his most expensive products. He
brought with him a list of addresses where he had completed work and urged me
to look at them and call and see if these customers were satisfied. Without
being pushy he followed up on the estimate. The service was so good and I was
so impressed with Marc's honesty that I accepted his bid even though it was
slightly higher. His crews were experienced, respectful, efficient, and did a
great job. Marc checked in every day.

We had all new Crane Solid Core vinyl
siding (double 7) and replaced all gutters and downspouts replaced on our home.
Marc was very professional and
pleasant to work with. He was prompt with his estimate and always returned
calls and e-mails quickly. The bid was competitive with other contractors.
When planning to have the work completed, we told Marc about our summer
vacation plans. He worked with his schedule to complete our project before we
left (much sooner than we had expected!). Throughout the project, the workers
were very professional and responsive and left our property clean at the end
of each day. Marc and Bobby, the crew chief, walked around with us to ensure
that all was completed to our satisfaction. The finished result is beautiful.
We would highly recommend Clearview and plan to contract with them in the
future for window and door replacement.

The paint on our 40-year-old
board-and-batten siding was peeling off and the gutters were in poor repair.
Painting our rambling ranch house (3,000+ sq. ft.) was estimated to cost about
$10,000. We chose Crane board-n-batten solid core siding (mocha) to preserve
the vertical architectural details, which we emphasized by using slightly
darker trim (clay). The solid core siding also improves the insulation.
Marc Kabak did an excellent job in guiding us
through this project from explaining the options available at the beginning to
ensuring that the custom work we wanted was completed to our satisfaction. Four
workers completed the initial tasks of removing the old battens and installing
most of the siding. They
were able to integrate some opaque panels into an exterior wall to allow more
light into an enclosed patio area, and built a gate for that area. They also
constructed a separate partition on the side of the garage to hide an air
conditioner and the trash cans. All work was done on time and every effort was
made to leave the site clean.

Mold was growing in the walls and
window box of a house I bought last year. Marc Kabak was one of several
Angies List contractors I had come out to survey the situation and make
recommendations. All recommended replacing the 40+ year old cedar siding that
was visibly rotting. All recommended replacing the bedroom window box. Given
broken window tracks, woodpecker damage, and other issues, the consensus was
to replace the wood with vinyl siding, three windows, rebuild one window box
after mold was addressed, and trim the existing windows in complementary
white trim. I also asked Clearview to fix separated flashing at the chimney
where rain literally poured down the wall through the summer and address
flashing issues on the sunroom skylights.
This was an extraordinarily good
experience, at a time when I had just about had it with house problems. Other
Clearview reviews seemed nice; but I don't know if one can communicate the
education, choices, attention to detail, financial considerations, patience,
advice, and professionalism that Marc Kabak demonstrates. He brought over
extensive samples, made recommendations as to quality within my price range,
and advised me what to watch out for (setting reasonable expectations for
me). When I asked about mold remediation, he indicated this wasn't his
field--then not only went out and did the research, but made arrangements for
certified backup before the job started. The estimate was fully within what
we'd discussed, his group did all the work promised, and details I'd not
noticed were attended to without fanfare. They were ON TIME, even though that
meant working long days in rain or near-freezing temps. He followed up with
me as to my satisfaction, walked about the property before I could even
review it myself and corrected minor finish issues--and was a pure joy to
work with, all around. While I can assure you his group's work was well
beyond my expectations, I think I appreciated it even more when I had a
series of problems with a contractor addressing another issue at the house.
The contrast made me sharply aware of just how much Marc Kabak and Clearview
provide. Hands down: hire this company.

ClearView replaced all of our
windows, vinyl siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. They reinforced the
exterior of our home with plywood and re-wired all of our exterior fixtures.
Overall, I have only great things
to say about Marc Kabak and Clearview. My wife and I ended up purchasing a
''money pit'' of a home that needed much more renovation than originally
estimated. After interviewing several exterior companies, we selected Clearview
because of Angie's List and our visit with Marc. With the many issues my wife
and I discovered after buying our home, we were especially sensitive to
having repairs/improvements done properly the first time and Clearview was
very receptive. Marc was always available by phone (we spoke often) and made
3-4 site visits during the project. His window and siding crews were
courteous and delivered as promised. This was a significant investment for my
family and Marc understood our concerns wanting the best possible
workmanship. As is the case with many projects, new issues arise after the
project has begun. Marc and Clearview were extremely attentive. I would
highly recommend them.

Clearview provided and installed 11 Alside
Ultramaxx Premium vinyl double hung thermal replacement windows with Low
E/Argon energy package and internal contoured grid pattern. Replace sill in
bathroom with cultured marble. Insulated between jambs and headers. Capped
all exterior wood and interior bathroom wood with aluminum. Also installed 2
picture windows over smaller stained glass windows. Clean up and haul away of
existing windows.
Marc Kabak and his crew provided
first rate, exceptional service and workmanship. Marc's in home presentation
was thorough and informative. He provided a bid at the time of the
presentation. No high pressure tactics. He provided liability and workers
comp insurance certificates directly from the insurer. Once the order was
placed, the work was completed within about 4 weeks (delayed due to rainy
weather). They did an excellent installation job with beautiful work on the
wood capping and silicone sealing. Clean up was spotless. Marc also came to
check in on the crew's progress during install and to see if I had any
concerns. The entire job was done in less than 2 days. Marc also followed up
a couple of weeks later to see if there were any concerns and to ensure
satisfaction. The work was timely, professional, and completed at bid price.
Not the cheapest, but very competitive.

SAME TIME, OUR OVERALL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IS DESCRIBED IN DETAIL ON THAT
REVIEW. Now for the specifics regarding the windows. Our house was built in
1965 and it still had the original wood frames when we moved in which
happened to be cracking and painted shut. When Marc came out for the
estimate, he gave us several choices to choose from in a variety of price
ranges because we were replacing a total of 8 windows. One of them was a
basement casement window that was accessible from the outside but do to a
finished basement was sealed from the inside so we had four basement casement
windows on the outside and three on the inside so we initially didn't think
that we would be able to replace that one but sure enough Marc did.
Some research and consulted with
his window expert Phil (very nice and knowledgeable) and they came up with a
way to replace it with a storm window knowing that they only had access from
the outside so we were very impressed with there ability to think outside the
box to make the customer happy. When the crew came out to do the work, they
were on time, finished quickly and cleaned up when they were done. As I
mentioned earlier, please take a look at our siding review of Clearview
because you'll find out that this company clearly cares about there customers
happiness which is a rarity in the home improvement business so what are you
waiting for, CALL THEM! One additional note regarding Marc's commitment to
his customers, is he knew we didn't the funds to replace the windows on the
back of our house and they really stood out compared to the new ones so he
had his crew install new capping around them to make them look nicer. These

My husband and I instantly liked
Marc's laid back approach. He was not like the other salesman we had received
bids from. We never felt pressure to "sign on the dotted line" and
any questions or concerns we had were addressed immediately. His crew was
timely and efficient. This major undertaking was completed within the
estimated completion time. Though not the cheapest bid nor the most expensive
bid, we felt that the final outcome exceeded our expectation. I would highly
recommend Marc's services.

Clearview removed and hauled away existing
wood siding, wrapped home with Tyvek house wrap, installed 3/8" foam
underlayment to help compensate for framing mis-alignments. They then
installed Alside Charter Oak Double 4.5" Dutchlap vinyl siding to home
including gable vents. Enclosed all sofits with Alside vinyl hidden vented
soffit system. All fascia boards covered with custom bent aluminum coil.
Gable Fascia has custom crown mold bend for added rigidity. Covered front
porch ceiling with same soffit system and wrap front porch beam with same
custom bent aluminum coil. Used same aluminum to custom wrap two 8" x 9'
front porch columns, two single car garage door frames, wood end boards on
front and side of home where brick meets siding and two front window boxes.
Removed and hauled away existing gutter system and installed 5" aluminum
seamless gutters with 5" EZ-Lock gutter screen and installed oversized
downspouts and accessories. Removed shutters and installed 5 pair of vinyl
shutters.
GREAT! When I looked at other
reports, someone said, "Don't look any further". I hardily agree.
If you need siding or windows, this is the company to hire. The owner, Mark,
restored my faith that there really are businessmen who still believe in
customer service. When he pulled up to my driveway before ever meeting me
& seeing that I was struggling with some furniture moving immediately
helped me. I knew then he was a gentleman & a businessman who would do
whatever it took to deliver customer service. Being newly widowed, he very
patiently explained all the business & financial aspects of the job,
& was very understanding when a few tears fell on my part from being
overwhelmed with emotion at times. He even took me on a "fieldtrip"
in my neighborhood to look at different colors to help me make up my mind.
